XTRA
I used to be a big Tide user but recently decided it was just way to expensive and I wanted to try a less expensive laundry detergent. I purchased XTRA at the grocery store on sale for $2.50. It scent was apple. First off it smells absolutely terrific. It left a very light clean apple scent on the clothes I washed. The clothes I washed came out very clean looking. The kids noticed the smell and said it smelled really good! Now kids don't usually notice these things do they? I honestly could find no difference in the cleanliness off the clothing washed in the XTRA versus Tide. They were just as clean at a fraction of the price. I also liked the fact that the XTRA detergent was concentrated and that a small amount of the liquid soap went a long way. The small bottle actually lasted longer than a bigger bottle of my usual detergent. We had previously had a problem years ago with bargain laundry detergent leaving a residue in the washing machines tub so I wanted to make sure the XTRA detergent I had gotten at such a great price didn't leave a lot of residue in the washing machine. I let the washer tub fill with hot water and agitate with nothing in it. I got some soap bubbling but not a lot. No more than with my usual detergent. In my opinion the XTRA does a great job cleaning your clothes for a fraction of the price of the big name brand detergents. I will be continuing to purchase XTRA laundry detergent.
