Morphy Richards 40655 Turbo Steam Iron
The Morphy Richards Turbo Steamer iron is a streamlined ergonomically friendly green and white design excellent for steaming out even the toughest of garment creases. It has four main heat settings and is able to steam or squirt garments using water from its inbuilt tank. There is even the option to control the amount of steam created by the iron for more delicate items.
The iron is able to stand alone and has a slightly tilted heat plate for easier use when ironing. The Morphy Richards iron boasts a larger than average water tank, which again, aids its steaming abilities along with the weight of iron. It has a fairly standard length cable of around 1.5 meters which can prove to be quite helpful.
Unfortunately, it has a regular tendency to leak droplets of water through the steaming holes on the plate causing garments to become slightly water marked, this is not exactly helpful when in a rush, along with its heaviness it isn’t the most practical of objects. The iron can seem as if it is a little top heavy and may fall over at the slightest movement.
The iron is satisfactory and functions on most occasions, however if you do need to change the heat setting there is no indicator of when the iron has reached the correct heat level so users are left guessing when its hot enough. I rate this iron a 2 out of 5 as it is a standard iron with a standard price tag
Pros- has larger than average water tank
- has a fairly standard length cable of around 1.5 meters
